What We Sell
At CD Spins, we specialize in selling compact discs. Our retail
locations offer the largest selection of New and Used CDs in
the area. Each store has a variety of music in all genres, including
current chart toppers, back catalog titles, rare, hard-to-find,
and out-of-print items. From popular to obscure, classical to
techno, we have it all.
Selling/Trading Your
Unwanted Compact Discs
CD Spins
pays cash for your unwanted compact discs. Receive 25% over the
cash value of your discs if you want credit for in-store purchases.
No appointment is necessary; each store has a buyer on during
all hours of operation.
We buy all styles of music: from Joan Baez to Dr. Dre, even classical,
soundtracks, and techno.
There is no minimum or limit on the number of CDs you sell to
us.
The CDs must have some form of the original artwork (preferably
the front cover). Missing cases and artwork detract from the
value of your CDs.
The prices we offer vary depending on the artist, title, and
condition of what you sell. Our average price for good titles
is between $3 to $4, but can reach $7. Be sure to check out our

Unlike other stores, we generally buy all of your compact discs.
We offer store credit as an alternative to cash. The credit amount
will be 25% above the cash value of the CDs you are selling and
is redeemable at all CD Spins locations.
Depending on how many CDs you bring in, the whole process generally
takes about five or ten minutes.
The Type of CDs We Buy
We buy all
types of compact discs.
All genres of music (rock, alternative, classical, techno, rap,
etc.).
From popular artists to obscure bands, we will buy all of your
CDs.
CDs without complete artwork (we need at least part of the original
artwork).
Record club CDs.
Scratched CDs. Although marks on a CD’s playing surface
decrease its value, your scratched CDs may still be worth cash.
Other stores will pick through your CDs and purchase just a select
few titles, leaving you with an armful of CDs. CD Spins will
purchase items that other stores regularly pass on (especially
scratched discs!) and, we offer the best prices on all your titles.
Selling Large Collections
If you wish to sell a collection of 500 or more CDs at one time
and prefer not bring them to our retail outlets, we would be
happy to make arrangements to come to you. Contact our Boston store by phone, fax, or e-mail with a summary of the
titles and quantity of discs you wish to sell. We will arrange
to send a representative of CD Spins to you, saving you time
and effort.
Forms of Payment We
Accept
Each CD Spins location accepts cash, credit cards (MasterCard
and Visa), traveler’s checks, and ATM/Debit cards. Sorry,
no personal checks are accepted.
Quality Guarantee
CD Spins guarantees everything we sell. We have extremely high
standards of quality control and, in order to eliminate defects,
we visually inspect each disc three times before it is placed
on sale. If you are not 100% satisfied, we have an easy, hassle
free return
policy.
At CD Spins, the satisfaction of our customers is guaranteed.
Return Policy
Used CDs may be returned for any reason for full store credit.
New CDs may be returned only if defective (again, for full store
credit). Our policy gives you the opportunity to sample any used
CD at home. If you are not satisfied with your selection, you
may simply return it and choose another disc. In addition:
The returned
item must be in original selling condition.
You must have your sales receipt.
The item must be returned within seven days from the date of
purchase.
Merchandise returned is for store credit only (redeemable at
all CD Spins locations). There are no cash or credit card refunds.
We offer a one-time-only exchange per CD. The next item you purchase
with your credit will be a final sale, returnable only if defective.
Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are available at each CD Spins location in
denominations of $5, $10, and $20. See our stores for details.
Requests/Special Orders/Mail
Order
Our stock varies depending on what the public sells to us; there
is no way to predict when certain items will come in. Therefore,
we do not take requests for titles or place special orders. We
do, however, have a constant influx of product on a weekly basis
that averages between 1,000 and 2,000 new titles per store.

Consignment
To help promote local musicians, CD Spins carries local music
on consignment. If you are a local band or artist, we are willing
to stock your CDs at minimal markup to assist you in gaining
exposure. All consignment is handled in person, not through the
mail, and inquiries must be directed to each of our stores separately.
If You Have Scratched
or Damaged CDs
If you have discs that are damaged, scratched, or skipping, the
repair center at CD Spins can help you. CD Spins is an authorized
agent of Optiviti, a national CD repair company. With state-of-the-art
technology, we provide disc repair for all five-inch digital
media including DVDs, CD-ROMs, and Game Discs. We will have your
discs looking and playing like new for a fraction of what it
would cost to replace them. More information is available in
